Aisha Thomas

As a migrant from West Africa, Aisha grew up watching her mother manage a popular hair studio on the third floor of their home. Her father was a successful businessman who was respected in their community. Their migration to the United States was seen as a chance to provide their children with more educational and economic opportunities. After overcoming a challenging transition, Aisha made some necessary adjustments and obtained her first leadership position at the age of 20. Since then, she excelled in multiple leadership roles, managed numerous high performing teams, and developed leaders from the first tier to executive levels.

As the CEO of We Speak They Speak LLC, her company aims to innovate leadership through trauma-informed introspective training & advising to reduce increased breakdowns in the workplace. Her programs have been taught multiple institutions to include the University of Wisconsin Madison & University of Texas - San Antonio.

Aisha is a multiple award winner for her professional and community service from improving organizational culture and practices while also developing managers, teams, and the next generation of leader. Aisha has managed a local mentorship program as a Program Coordinator creating curriculum, providing instruction, and managing a team of military mentors from various backgrounds. In addition, she has provided mentorship and leadership development to JROTC programs as well as to At-Risk facilities.

Her service focus mindset began in 2003 when she joined the United States Air Force, where she has proudly served her country during peacetime and global conflicts. Aisha won the Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year for 2019, and contributed to the win of Team of Year 2021, as her leadership skills, strategic vision, process improvement, and program development expertise stood out within her organization.
